Well, I'm slightly new to crafting... I did some knitting when I was very young and small things with my mom growing up, but never really learned much on my own. It is just now that I'm getting into it on my own.
I'm Memi, real name Amanda. I'm 22 years old and currently my thing is sewing felt... in the last week since I purchased needles, thread, felt, and some other odds and ends, I've made two onigiri keychains with little googly eyes, a sushi keychain, a keychain of the pokemon Ditto, and a medium sized ninja plushie based on a project on cutoutandkeep.net that was meant to be a ninja on top of an energy drink can. I'm working currently on some items for my first craft swap on there, and since I've linked to my blog on CO&K I'll keep those a secret until after I mail them out.
My current challenges are with stitching. Being new to sewing I don't know any stitches and I have the same problems with my plushes and keychains. The first being that when I flip my items from being inside out to stuff them, you can see all the stitching along the sides and while on some it looks neat, on many it makes them look poorly made. The other is I can't figure out how to finish sewing them after stuffing without it looking very messy! Tips on those would be greatly appreciated! Pictures of all my projects will be here and on CO&K after Christmas when I have a working camera.
